Canon 2.2: This Church declares itself to be an open and affirming Catholic faith community, which particularly welcomes all those who have been injured or disenfranchised through social and/or religious bigotry or hatred, fear or ignorance.

We believe that Canon 2.2 of our Code of Canon Law clearly and emphatically states our Pastoral, Sacramental and Communal commitment to stand before God and World as an Open and Affirming Catholic Community of Faith welcoming all to participate in all aspect in our life.

The Evangelical Catholic Church was consecrated in part to remove impediments that have keep people or categories of people from continuing their spiritual and sacramental journeys. Our commitment to the inclusification of our sacramental and vocational life remains in tact.

Since July 7th, 1997 our motto has always stated that we are a “Welcoming Community of Faith Rooted in the Catholic Tradition.”

And that will never change.

Una Iglesia Abierta y Afirmativa

Canon 2.2: Esta Iglesia se declara una comunidad de fe católica abierta y afirmativa, que acoge particularmente a todos aquellos que han sido heridos o privados de sus derechos por la intolerancia o el odio social y/o religioso, el miedo o la ignorancia.

Creemos que el Canon 2.2 de nuestro Código de Derecho Canónico establece clara y enfáticamente nuestro compromiso Pastoral, Sacramental y Comunitario de presentarnos ante Dios y el mundo como una Comunidad Católica de Fe Abierta y Afirmativa, invitando a todos a participar en todos los aspectos de nuestra vida.

Desde el 7 de julio de 1997 nuestro lema siempre ha sido que somos una “Comunidad de fe acogedora arraigada en la tradición católica”.

Y eso nunca cambiará.
