Ministry of the Church

The ultimate goal of the Evangelical Catholic Church is to serve as a beacon of hope and faith proclaiming and witnessing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to support people on their journeys towards salvation. This involves spreading the message of salvation and helping individuals grow in their faith and relationship with God, ultimately leading them to eternal life.

In the Evangelical Catholic Church, evangelism, or evangelization, is the act of sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ and inviting others to a relationship with him. It's a process of sharing the Gospel message, which is the foundation of the faith, and encouraging people to embrace it and live according to it and to become witnesses of it to all.

Freedom and Acceptance by choice. Evangelization succeeds primarily through invitation and witness, not through coercion or manipulation. It relies on the power of the Gospel and the grace of God to draw people in.

Sharing the Good News.  Authentic Evangelization involves sharing the core message of the Christian faith, including the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus.

Entering into a relationship with Jesus.  Authentic Evangelization is not just about sharing Christian information, but about inviting others to enter into a personal relationship with Jesus and to live a life of faith with him.

Please know that the Evangelical Catholic Church’s approach to Evangelization never has, nor never will engage in the process of proselytism, which involves aggressive or manipulative tactics to convert others.  We are not the Jim Jones of the greater Catholic world.

Since the consecration of the Evangelical Catholic Church in 1997, our community can state with confidence and pride that most of our corporate ministry has come under the umbrella of the Theology of Social Justice and Peace.

Permit us to further state that our ministry in the field of Social Justice and Peace remains focused on fostering friends and parishioners in continuing Jesus' mission, His work and His service to others. Our ministry educates, organizes and acts on social issues facing our local and global community by deepening an awareness of the Gospel's call to love our neighbors.

And let us not forget for one second our dedication to our sacramental ministry.

The sacramental ministry of the Evangelical Catholic Church aims to sanctify all men and women and build up the Body of Christ (the Church), ultimately leading to the worship of God.

We believe that the sacraments are outward signs of God's grace, instituted by Christ to help people grow in holiness and draw closer to God.

In our sacramental ministry we live to witness the living grace of the Sacraments. Sacraments are more than just symbols; we believe are giving to us to impart grace, which is God's life and power working in the soul, helping individuals live as followers of Jesus.

At the end of the day it is our hope that the ministry of the Evangelical Catholic Church will have fostered a sense of community and unity among its members by maintaining a supportive environment for the spiritual growth of all involved – now and in the future.
