Officiation of a Civil Marriage

By definition, a civil marriage ceremony is a legally recognized marriage conducted by a government official, such as a judge or clerk, or any person recognized as a Justice of the Peace.

Such ceremonies are usually a non-religious, secular event focused on the civil legal union of two people.

Unless otherwise restricted, validly ordained clergy in the United State may act as a Justice of the Peace and officiate for non-religious civil marriage ceremonies.

If requested to act as a Justice of the Peace and to officate for a civil marriage ceremony for a just reason, the clergy of the Evangelical Catholic Church may officiate such ceremonies.

The prerequisites for our services are as follows:

1. Venue for ceremony must be one of dignity.

2. Both parties must be legally free to enter into marriage.

3. Such ceremonies must be celebrated with respectfulness and to be cause of any social scandal.

Por definición, una ceremonia de matrimonio civil es un matrimonio legalmente reconocido celebrado por un funcionario del gobierno, como un juez o secretario, o cualquier persona reconocida como juez de paz.

Estas ceremonias suelen ser un evento laico y no religioso, centrado en la unión civil legal de dos personas.

Salvo restricciones, los clérigos válidamente ordenados en Estados Unidos pueden actuar como Jueces de Paz y oficiar ceremonias de matrimonio civil no religiosas.

Si se les solicita actuar como Juez de Paz y oficiar una ceremonia de matrimonio civil por una causa justa, los clérigos de la Iglesia Católica Evangélica pueden oficiar dichas ceremonias.

Los requisitos previos para nuestros servicios son los siguientes:

1. El lugar de la ceremonia debe ser digno.

2. Ambas partes deben tener la libertad legal para contraer matrimonio.
